Meredith Byrum Brown

Director of Training

Meredith Byrum Brown is the Director of Training with Judgment Index USA and is certified at the Master Judgment Index Consultant (MJIC) level. She has been involved with the interpretation and application of the Judgment Index™ assessment for over fifteen years.
A Tennessee native, Meredith graduated from the Girls’ Preparatory School in Chattanooga and then went on to attend Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. There she studied English, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree and graduating cum laude in 2001. During this time, Meredith also studied for a semester at the Scuola Lorenzo de’ Medici in Florence, Italy. She then returned to Chattanooga to teach English at the local community college before beginning her graduate studies the following year. She was awarded a graduate assistantship at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where in 2003 she earned her Master of Arts degree with a focus on rhetoric and composition.
Meredith’s father, Steve Byrum, PhD, worked closely during his own graduate studies with Robert S. Hartman, PhD, the creator of the Judgment Index™, so as a result, Meredith grew up with a keen knowledge of the assessment and began assisting with her father’s work when she was in high school. She enjoys the training element of her work with the Judgment Index™ the most, helping other people learn to interpret and apply this tool. She also considers the team building, mentoring, and personal development applications of the Judgment Index™ to be extremely rewarding work.
